Can't Stop The Serenity 2008 at Riverview Theater!
It's Back! It's Bigger! It's Better!
MN Firefly is proud to announce the Can't Stop The Serenity screening event of 2008! It's not to be missed!
Can't Stop The Serenity is the annual global browncoat event featuring Serenity on the big screen with all proceeds to benefit Equality Now, Joss Whedon's favorite charity. Equality Now is an international non profit organization working to end violence and descrimination against women and girls around the world. The now-annual event began in 2006 when over 40 locations around the globe raised over $60,000 for Equality Now! The 2007 global events topped that with gusto by raising over $100,000 for Equality Now! Minnesota's participation provided over $2,000 in 2006, and tripled that amount in 2007 by raising $6,160!!
To celebrate three years of the event here in Minnesota, we thought it appropriate to offer THREE nights of Serenity! You're invited to join the fun on your choice of dates and show times, or really go all out and attend all three nights plus a shindig on the third day!
The schedule is as follows:
SERENITY on the big screen with 35mm film at Riverview Theater in Minneapolis on:
Thursday, June 19 at 9:30 PM
Friday, June 20 at 11:30 PM
Saturday, June 21 at 11:30 PM

Exclusive Shindig:
Saturday, June 21 at 2 PM
This shindig is special in many ways. It's limited to only 40 attendees and exclusively available via advance shindig ticket purchase. Join other browncoats for a catered light lunch and crafts! Did we mention crafts? That's right, roll up those browncoat sleeves and grab a paint brush! You'll be painting your very own Kaylee inspired 32" parasol! This shindig will be at Ramsey County Library - Maplewood, MN and costs $35. All proceeds to Equality Now! Tickets on sale NOW and only for a limited time! The Shindig tickets are expected to sell out quickly so get yours fast!
